Snark Free Theme Day for 9/23

Today's theme is heroes getting together with reformed villainesses.

1. The most notable one has to be Batman and Catwoman, as she is famous enough to have her own movie, and he is, well, Batman. Their relationship is on sorta unsteady grounds, though.

2. Green Lantern (Alan Scott) ended up marrying the former villain Harlequinn, and I believe they are still married now.

Does Nightwing hanging out with Tarantula for a few weeks after she murdered Blockbuster and raped him count? I mean, he WAS willing to marry her apparently. That has got to count, right? Oh wait, she was not reformed...scratch that!

3. Captain America had a long relationship with the former thief, Diamondback.

4. Iron Man was really serious about Madame Masque, who was the head of the bloody MAGGIA!

Roy Harper was with Cheshire, but she never reformed...

Martian Manhunter was with Scorch, but I do not think she reformed, either.

5. Vision married Scarlet Witch, who used to be a criminal, and HE was even a bad guy at one point! Yay! A DOUBLE one!

6. Daredevil got together with the former villainess, Black Widow.

Any more that I am missing?

Alan Scott's children, Jade and Obsidian, are by his late first wife, the villainous Thorn.

Peter David's Supergirl had a relationship with Buzz the Demon before he went through a reformation of sorts.

No, Firestorm never got together with Killer Frost. He did date Firehawk, who was, in her initial outing, blackmailed into villainy. Does that count?

Captain Atom married super-terrorist Plastique.

Hal Jordan dated Carol Ferris for years, while she was the villainess Star Sapphire.

Well, Psycho Pirate made Killer Frost fall in love with Firestorm for the duration of Crisis, but she never really reformed, and it was a pretty one-sided relationship.

What about Spider-Man and the Black Cat? Cat had been a burglar at one point or another, hadn't she?

I seem to remember Wally West having a fling with the Golden Glider, or one of the similar rogues.

IIRC, didn't Wildcat have a fling with the first villainous Huntress?

Does Johnny Storm's relationship with Lyja count? I don't know if she ever was really a villain, but she was a Skrull.

Oh! Duh! We're missing one of the most famous and long-running ones of all! Big Barda, former leader of the Female Furies, married New God, superhero, and escape artist Scott Free, resulting in one of the most strangely normal comic book relationships ever.

Scarlet Witch reminded me that Quicksilver, who was married to the Inhuman Crystal for awhile (is he still?), was a former member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

For that matter, we should include former Brotherhood member Rogue and her long relationship with Gambit.

And then there's Cyclops and the White Queen, Emma Frost. Didn't she have a fling with Banshee before that?

Didn't forge from x-men bump uglies with mystique at one point? Rogue and magneto had some sparks fly as well.
