Snark Free Comics Merchandising- Justice League Unlimited Toys

I have no snark for the fact that Justice League Unlimited's toy line has given the world plastic representations of everyone from Metamorpho to Vigilante to Katma Tui that aren't ridiculously detailed and priced, like the DC Direct figures I'm sure most of these characters have.

It's awesome. I love that all manner of obscure characters are on the toy shelves with Scuba Batman and Velour Jumpsuit Superman. And, you know, I really want that Timm-ified Zatanna figure. Looks awesome. I'm also impressed that Red Tornado was on a animated JLA puzzle I bought to donate to my local Boys and Girls Club, even if I have a suspicion that Brad Meltzer was somehow involved in that. I hope you have no snark for the fact that someone else besides Cronin posted on this blog and didn't have a cool scan of a double page spread.

December Double-Pager #13 - John Byrne's Amazing Spider-Man II

John Byrne's Amazing Spider-Man does not seem to be fondly remembered by a lot of people, art-wise, but I thought it was great.

And check out all the neat double-page spreads he had, like this one, featuring Peter and Mary Jane!

Pretty darn cool, no?

December Double-Pager #12 - John Byrne's Captain America

During their run on Captain America, Roger Stern and John Byrne created a classic issue that depicted the history of Captain America beautifully within a single issue of the title.

Here is a double spread from that issue.

Pretty darn cool, eh?

December Double-Pager #11 - Paul Ryan's Avengers

The issue (#329) itself may have been a bit slow (as it essentially was just the Avengers voting on who would be the new team of Avengers), but isn't this a neat two-page spread by Paul Ryan depicting the entire group of Avengers?

December Double-Pager #10 - Jim Steranko's Captain America II

Steranko only drew a few Captain America issues, but in EACH one, he included a stunning double-page spread.

Here is the second one...

Damn, he was impressive on Cap, wasn't he?
