Return of the King(s)

You know what is a really cool facet of the current independent comic market?

There is now a market for guys like Mike Grell doing Jon Sable again or John Ostrander and Tim Truman doing Grimjack again.

And that is awesome.

There may not be a mass market for these books right now, but the small companies do not mind that, which is great news for fans of the old classics.

What other old series do you think would be worth a revamp?

Isn't this more a revival/relaunch than a revamp? I say that because revamp suggests to me a new way of doing a series, not bringing it back in to print.

That aside, I'd like to say American Flagg!, but I get the feeling that the story possibilities there were probably exhausted in the issues I haven't read yet(which is everything past 12). It's the only one of the seminal '80's series from publishers like Comico/First/Eclipse that I've read a decent amount of. Other than Miracleman, but that's a whole other can of worms.

You are correct.

Revival is a better description.
