Fun Run for 8/6

Today's fun run is Heckler, by Keith Giffen and Tom & Mary Bierbaum.

This series was not long for this world, only six issues long, but the six issues were all quite good.

The Heckler's powers were basically that he was a cartoon, so the series was just filled with him getting beat up and acting like a cartoon.

Really, there is not a lot to say about the series...there basically was no plot.

But there was nice Giffen art and a LOT of jokes.

So pick these issues up!!

I have wanted to read this series ever since I first saw the house ads about it. But I've never managed to track them down.

Heckler is a funfunfun read.
Issue #2 where he fights El Gusano as a Roadrunner pastiche is especially funny.

I love the way in this that Giffen does this incredibly broad comedy with scenes of mundane, almost downbeat secret identity stuff.
He did the same sort of stuff with PunX.
