Monday Challenge - Kyle vs. Hal vs. Guy vs. John...
Who would make the coolest looking kite if the four were entered into a kite-making contest?
Would John's architecture background help him make a sweet design of a kite?
Or would Kyle's art skills have him take the prize?
I presume Guy and Hal would be in trouble, but you folks might know better!

I'd still go with Hal-although Guy's would probably strafe the other kites.
The coolest looking -- Kyle.
Highest flying -- John.
So you figure Hal, the one of the four who's actually a pilot, wouldn't come up with something cool in a kite-making contest? Interesting theory.
Hal flew the planes.
He didn't build them.
Kyle wins for visual design, no sweat. It might even have a Memphis Belle pin-up figure painted on the side.
As for actual quality design (ability to fly, interesting structural shape), John.
Hal's would have boxing glove on it, for some reason.
But Guy's would have a certain child-like wonder to it, exposing his soft underbelly. It wouldn't be structurally sound, and the design on it would look like it was done in crayon, but it would seem like the most fun to fly with.
If it was a kite-flying contest, on the other hand...
(Would Parallax be a kite-eating tree?)
I understand that Hal only flew planes and didn't build them...but it still seems to me that a fellow whose life depended every day on understanding things like lift and drag and airflow is gonna have a better grasp of these things than an architect who designed boxes. Yes, I realize I'm disagreeing with Ragnell here -- who actually knows the field -- but some architects couldn't make a paper airplane, let alone a kite.
Definitely I'll grant Kyle on style and color and a cool design painted on the kite. And Guy builds one specifically designed to get its line tangled with Hal's and bring them both down.
