Nagging Thoughts for 7/9

If he only knew them through their secret identities, which Justice League member would Clark Kent like to hang out with the most?

Same question, but Bruce Wayne instead.

How often do you think Danny Rand and Luke Cage talk to each other?

Who is the best lawyer in the DC Universe?

How about the Marvel Universe?

Who is your favorite character in Beyond #1?

Hal Jordan--if we're talking historically--or maybe John Jones if we go way back.

Same question, but Bruce Wayne instead.
Hmm, none?
Maybe Diana Prince or Dinah Lance.

They don't have to.

Who is the best lawyer in the DC Universe?
Not sure

How about the Marvel Universe?
You mean there's more than one?
I'd say She Hulk--but she may be rusty.

Dude, no one would hang out with Batman, Batman's an asshole.

I think their relationship is deep they just read each other perfectly with no words needed.

there's lawyers in the DC Universe?

How about the Marvel Universe?
Well, let's see: Matt Murdoch has been disbarred, Foggy Nelson is dead. I guess that leaves She-Hulk.

Who is your favorite character in Beyond #1?

1) Surprisingly, I think he'd really get along with Wally. Maybe it's the shared midwest upbringings.

2) Are we talking "millionaire playboy" Bruce Wayne or "hanging out with Alfred in the Batcave" Bruce Wayne? If the first, then Diana (for the facade) or Clark (for the media attention). If the second, then John Jones.

Speaking of J'onn, I think he's the one every JLAer would hang out with in an informal, non-superheroing setting. The breadth of perspective J'onn has must be worth hours of astonishing conversation.

3) I still have a hard time believing they spoke in the first place.

4) Harvey Dent, hands down (yes, even as Two-Face, the evil best lawyer in the DCU).

5) Sorry Shulkie, but Murdock's got the cred to go with the talent. Though didn't I read somewhere that Cable was an attorney? Telepathic mutant lawyers...suddenly, I feel much more confortable with the Sentinel program.

The best lawyer in the DCU: Tenzil Kem, for the defense.

I point you to his defense of Polar Boy. His use of the "Green Lanterns are not allowed on Earth on Mondays" argument, followed by the "he thinks he's Braino, the noblest being in the universe" insanity plea.

Simply brilliant.

Clark Kent, white-bread middle-class MidWesterner, would like to hang out with Barry Allen, same-same. All the rest would strike him as kinda weird, and a little flakey.

Bruce Wayne is mostly an act, so he would avoid Barry Allen (cop) and John Jones (private detective) to avoid associating himself with law enforcement. And he has little in common with working stiffs like Wally West or Dinah Prince. He would be drawn to the exotics who have no secret ID -- Aquaman, Wonder Woman, Zatanna -- because they would understand the pressures of fame and social position.

Rand and Cage were partners for years, I'm sure they keep in regular touch.

DC: second the Tenzil Kem motion!

Marvel: that prosecutor who handed Matt Murdock his ass in the White Tiger case. Sold a bill of goods to the jury and they ate it up. Gooood lawyering. Second best would be whoever Tony Stark has on retainer, considering the s--t he gets away with.

Beyond - Spider-Man. Hey, there's a reason he's in 7 books a month and the rest are in none.
