Okay, I know these are wrong but all I have left on my list of choices are Chic Stone and Craig Russell.
I think Layton on the second one, too. As for the first -- An odd John Byrne moment?
The second looks like Mark D. Bright. The first? Giffen. No idea on that first one, actually.
The second is George Perez, maybe?
This is really hard!
I give up!
The first one is from Alan Kupperberg, in issue 157. The title of the episode is "Spores".
