Let's say you are a new comic book company - come up with a term other than superheroes to describe your heroes (and one that has not already been used)!!
Don't know if this has been used, but "Superb Heroes!" with the b very small to anoy DC and Marvel but prevent their suing. But then I'm not Mr. Law Expert.
Ninjapirates, of course. Kids love them there ninjapirates.
Runner-ups would include gorillapirates, pirateninjas, gorilladinosaurs, dinosaurninjas, and the ever popular gorillaninjadinosaurpirates.
(Actually, I really would like to read a book about Gorilla Ninja Dinosaur Pirates, but it has been independently verified that I am, in fact, a freak).

I'd call them something random like: Schlint stories or Glarnies.

Sex Pirates.
Duh.
Another slight change in spelling for:
Supper Heroes!
Actually I think that's terrible, but I'm just hungry.
