Monday Challenge - Spidey Who?

Name me a current, living superhero who exists in the mainstream Marvel universe who has never met Spider-Man.

Captain **** and Dirk Anger.

As far as anyone knows.

It's cheap, I know, but because of the two issue rule (you only get two issues before a spider-man or wolverine guest spot) you need to pick a marvel book that just came out.

Hmmm...

Well, Molly Hayes has been around for 30 issues without meeting Spider-Man, but that's just beause she wasn't with the other Runaways when they encountered him. How about the current New Mutants or the Winter Soldier? I can't recall a meeting there.

Otherwise, there aren't exactly a lot of possibilities. He's not as overexposed as he used to be, but that's not saying much.

How about Bishop? I can't claim to have read every single mega-crossover they might have been involved in, but I'm pretty sure Spidey didn't appear in Bishop's short-lived series.

The Winter Soldier reference got me thinking about someone from that storyline who's been around a lot longer - has Jack Monroe/Nomad ever met Spidey?

I don't recall Spidey ever showing up when he was in Cap's book, and none of the covers of the '90s Nomad series seem to have Spider-Man on the cover (his guest-star quota seems to have been filled by the Punisher, Daredevil, and Gambit.)

Ah, but the challenge included living, which Nomad no longer is.

Gilgamesh
either Blazing Skull
Elsa Bloodstone
Dr. Druid (at least as far as I recall.)
Ultra Girl
Cybermancer
Terror Inc. (Does he count as a superhero? And he did meet Araña--and is currently using her arm.)
Woodgod

Adrian, I think Spidey met Woodgod in an old Marvel Team-Up with the Hulk, right before he gets launched into space for an Adam Strange teamup.
Doc Samson maybe? I can't recall ever seeing the two together. Maybe the Texas Twister or that Texas Rangers super team...man, they weren't good.

The Eternals? Maybe?

Arrgh, the mention of Marvel Team-Up reminded me that even if Nomad was still alive, he'd have met Spidey in Marvel Team-Up #146, where he was the guest-star....

I remember an issue of Lobdell's X-Men where Spidey meets Bishop. I don't know why, but I do.

I seem to recall a two-parter in ASM with Spidey and Doc Samson teaming up. Hulk was in there, too.

I have those Doc Samson/Hulk ASM issues. Love that Bagley.

Did Spider-Man really team up with Adam Strange? I mean, that's a pretty obscure character to warrant a cross-company crossover.

Did NFL Superpro or US-1 ever team with Spider-Man?

Superpro did!

Arrgh, I'm sorry, I meant Adam Warlock. Embarrassing.

It's possible Spider-Man has never met Silverclaw or Triathlon, two of the characters Busiek created during his Avengers run.

Spidey made an appearance in the GLA mini, when they tried to recruit him and he gave them the usual speech about working better solo, etc. And so did Wolverine, and somebody or other who is currently in the Avengers and probably shouldn't be.
